Refit, passages and the Med season
Barcelona has one of the Mediterranean's largest superyacht refit yards and several superyacht marinas, so many sailing yachts spend the winter here. Refit is often when crew changes happen: the yard period is the right time to bring new people on board.
In spring, yachts leave Barcelona for the Balearics, the French Riviera and Italy. Delivery crew, engineers and seasonal deckhands are in demand from March onwards, and good candidates go quickly.
